Incapacity Planning
An understanding approach to difficult end of life decisions reduces the burden placed up those you love.
An often overlooked yet imperative part of each estate plan is incapacity planning.
At Estana, we regularly assist clients across the Northwest in the preparation and execution of Powers of Attorney (for financial and administrative matters) and Advance Directives (for health care matters), to avoid the time and cost intensive court conservatorship and/or guardianship process otherwise required. Advance Directives also allow you to express your wishes regarding end of life treatment (such as tube feeding and life support), so that you can take the burden of making those difficult decisions off of your loved ones. These decisions are often hard to contemplate, but our experience and advice can help make the process much easier than you might expect.
